Hyponatremia - Can You Die From Drinking Water?

Every now and then in the news, there is a report of a runner (or more than one) dying at a marathon from hyponatremia. There are also many (unreported by mass media) cases of non-deadly hyponatremia at races each year. Which begs the question, can you really die from drinking water?
