Do You Run Alone or With Others?

There are two types of runners: Those who love the solitude and peacefulness of running alone, and those who crave company on their runs. Lately, my most regular running buddy has been my 9-month-old daughter (in her jogging stroller, of course). Although I do enjoy her company, she usually doesn't have much to add to the conversation!

If you frequently run by yourself, but you'd like the company of other runners, learn how to find a running group near you. Or, if you prefer to run alone, get tips from our community on how to prevent boredom during your runs.

Hi Christine, I read your email about increasing distance and it motivated me to push myself today. I added a mile and ran for 8.25 miles. That is 1 mile more then I did last week. Thanks for the great advice. Kelly
