Maintaining Fitness in the Off-Season

With colder weather and the busy holiday season approaching, some runners (many who just ran Fall marathons) have asked how they can maintain their fitness without putting in the same amount of training time.

The most important thing is to make sure you don't stop exercising completely, since you'll start losing fitness in about two weeks. And we all know how it takes much longer to rebuild your fitness as it does to lose it.

But you can reduce your training without losing a lot of fitness. Follow these tips for maintaining fitness with limited time from Sports Medicine Guide, Elizabeth.
