Stay Motivated With a Training Log

Sunday November 30, 2008
I love looking back at my old training logs for previous races to see what changes I can make to try to improve my performances. It also helps my motivation to see the progress I make throughout my training.

Some runners use notebooks or websites to track their workouts and races. If you're looking for a way to track your running for 2009, The Complete Runner's Day-by-Day Log 2009 Calendar is a handy log/calendar (and makes a great gift). There's space for tracking your mileage, time, and routes, as well as other notes, in case you want to use it as a regular day planner. It also includes lots of tips, inspiring quotes, and informative essays about running from author Marty Jerome.
