Over the years, I've heard some ignorant, rude, and sometimes hilarious comments from non-runners about my running habit. I've been told that I'll have to get my knees replaced when I'm older, that running will cause my baby to be born premature, and that racing is a waste of time if you're not going to win anything. While those types of comments make me want to just roll my eyes or shake my head, there are those that almost make me giggle, like: "Oh, the Boston Marathon, that's one of those really long marathons, right?"
Reader Dawn shared one that would definitely fall in the ridiculous category:
"A woman I know who, by the way, is a nurse told me that running is so bad for me and said that my uterus is going to fall out. Really? I then responded to her, 'Well, then I'll just kick it to the curb and keep running. At 48 years old, I don't really need it anymore.'"
