Costumes Aren't Just for Halloween

By October 31, 2013

Follow me on:

As if running a marathon wasn't hard enough, some runners like to add to the challenge by wearing a crazy costume in the race. And, in some cases, being dressed in a furry outfit from head to toe doesn't slow them down.

Although I've never attempted to run in a costume (too worried about overheating and chafing - ouch!), I'm always entertained and impressed by the creativity and confidence of runners who attempt it. And, like many other runners, I've definitely been motivated to run faster because of those runners dressed in crazy outfits. The thought of getting beat by a man dressed as a hot dog will make any runner push themselves harder to the finish line.

Check out these photos of costumed runners.

Happy Halloween!

Have you ever seen the “stiletto run”? If those women can run with their stiletto shoes on, we can wearing a Batman costume for a while. Obviously I’ll take it off after few miles..before Costa Rica’s warming kills me
