Guide Review - Run For Fun DVD
However, the topics covered are so varied that there isn't time for them to be covered properly. With the exception of running shoes, very little is said that isn't fairly common knowledge for laypeople. For instance, most Americans know that they should eat in moderation and that they don't need extreme diets to be healthy. Really, that's about all that is said in the nutrition section of this DVD.
The best part of the DVD, by far, is the training programs. With four levels to choose from, there is something for every beginner. The worst part is the stretching scene. I particularly didn't like that John seems to be in pain. Whether he's pretending it hurts or it really does hurt, new runners may learn that stretching should hurt. Stretching shouldn't hurt. With that said, this is a great DVD for the beginner. You will learn a little about a lot of subjects and have a great platform for performing at your best and succeeding. So, if you are new to running and want to get started right, check out this DVD. But if you are already running and you are looking to learn more, it's not for you.
