Guide Review - Ventum Ultra Lo Running Socks

Much like its cousin, the X-Hale Cool Lo, the Ventum Ultra Lo is a great sock except for one major flaw. Even with the no-slip heel feature (to stop bunching and moving in your shoe), this sock has a problem from being ultra lo. It can cause blisters, if you are one of the unfortunate people who have running shoes that rub the achilles area of your heel.

However, this sock has one leg up on the X-Hale Cool Lo: an anti-microbial and deodorizing technology knit into the sock. That's right! No more stinky socks. While I'm not (in)famous for having stinky post-race feet, I have noticed that my shoes and socks smell a lot better. Now, if only I could get my husband to use them.

Unless you suffer from heel-side blisters, I highly recommend these socks to adventure racers and triathletes because they dry quickly and, as mentioned before, don't stink. They are also durable and comfortable long into a run, bike, or paddle. However, for blisterphobes, the X-Hale MultiSport Women's or X-Hale Men's socks are some of the best socks available to runners. Unfortunately, they may still stink after a run.
