Be Realistic With Your Resolutions.

As you think about your life and what you'd like to change, be realistic with yourself. Don't make a new year's resolution that you know you will not keep. Remember that one or two resolutions that you actually keep is much better than several new year's resolutions that you fail. Think about the consequences of your resolutions as well. If you resolve to quit smoking and lose weight, you may be setting yourself up for disaster. Sure, they are both great resolutions, but by quitting smoking you will probably gain weight, so a better resolution might be to quit smoking and maintain your weight. Then, next year, when you are a firm non-smoker, you can try to lose weight. Don't set yourself up to fail.
