Guide Review - SnowPack Active Basic Body-n-Ice Kit
Being a big fan of icing, I took great pride in testing out this product. I was skeptical at first. I have many different ice packs, everything from frozen peas to heavy-duty, prescribed-by-doctor ice packs; what makes this one so special?
The answer to that, I found out, is the SportCover and the insulated carrier. After a marathon, it was wonderful to be able to have a carrier with ice packs awaiting me in the car. No more need to wait until I get home, I can ice now. The insulated carrier kept the ice packs frozen for 7 hours in a car in the sun. I was duly impressed. Next, I found that with the SportCover on I could still sit down, get up, walk around, fix food, do laundry, all of my normal daily doings. I've used many different wrapping techniques but have never gotten this kind of flexibility and stability at the same time. I was uninhibited while I was icing. The SportCover also allows me to choose how cold I want the pack to be; one side of the cover buffers the cold, while the other side allows more penetrating cold to come through.
Don't get me wrong though, the ice pack itself isn't bad. It allows for 4 levels of use: crushed ice, packed snow, soft snow, and cool melt. This allows you to treat anything from joint pain to migraines with just the right intensity and feel. Overall it's the best package on the market for icing. No doubt about it.
